SKY ABLAZE Lake Tahoe
I talked my way into getting into a vacant penthouse room in Harveys-CasinoHotel before Dawn during my stay. I had 15 minutes to get in setup my tripod on the Balcony and get my shots. I setup in the dark and waited for the light. I was quite happy with the shots I got this particular morning . The Lake and the Mountain were beautiful. I had not even skied yet. It was a very good day.
From ALL MY MOUNTAINS
A thunderstorm had passed through the island but gave way to this beautiful purle haze in the clouds. I was blown away by the hue being picked up on the water. The humidity and haze helped to soften this medley of dune, beach, sea & sky! I called this PURPLE SKY AT THE BEACH!
ORANGE SKY LIGHTHOUSE SHADOWS appeals to me because of the mist, the lights and the birds. You may have to see the extra large picture to appreciate the birds. Just right click on the picture and click on x-large to see any picture larger or just watch a slide show.
Called ORANGE SKY BLUE WATER this shot captured the revolving light as it faced the camera lens. Timing was everything due to the long exposure of the shutter speed and the angle on the tripod I tokk several at bats before getting the full lightburst. This sky almost looks unworldly.
One of my Favorites SUNRISE SEA & SKY this shot says a lot to me! Between the angle of the shot (I shot this low on a tripod) , the relective quality of the backwater (note the clouds), The people way out in the background give this shot some scale! Makes me want to go back.
I called this SUNRISE SEA and SKY. This was one of my Favorite shots that day. Between the mirror like quality of the back water at low tide and the magic colors the clouds and the first sunlight produced as well as the two people way out in the background gives this a sense of scale. I was just glad to be there and see this. I shot this low to the ground with a tripod.
