FAVORITE SPRING, SUMMER & FALL
This particular shot across the Grand canyon was one of my favorites. I laid down near the edge and shot through this Grass as the sun started dropping low enough to produce some shadows. The different colors of rock as well as the wind scattered clouds took my breath away. Look at those low clouds under the rim in the upper right frame.
I called this SURFER at DUSK. taken near Diamond Head the surfers would go all the way out on the jetty to save some time and effort getting out past the breakers. Usually they didn't wait too long. This guy gave me just enough time to get this shot before he dove in with his board. CHECK OUT THAT SKY! IT WAS AWESOME!
One of my favorite shots ever. I ws hiking with my son Tom and my wife near Mt Humprhrey in Arizona outside of Flagstaff. The mix of trees both hardwoods and evergreens made for some great scenery. I laid my camera up against this beauty in a small clearing and shot straight up to the sky. Note the detail in the bark! I called this TREES to the SKY!
I had the opportunity to take some shots at the Roebling Car Show held in the Summer of 2011. This vintage pickup truck sits next to the giant Flywheel that was once used in the famous factory. Besides the cable made for famous bridges the museum is filled with fascinating items and products that were produced at the factory. The Roebling Museum in Roebling NJ is small but still worth a look!
Called GOLDEN SUNRISE this shot amazes me because of the color variations of the sky from the different stages of twilight and the early sunrise stages followed by this stage. From Reds, Purples, Pinks and now Yellows & Golds it gets to me every time! Check out all the sea birds on the beach and in the air!
RAVEN BACKLIT is pretty scary. Riding on the tow path in late fall I saw about 30 Ravens near the river openning up their wings like this. According to what I found on the internet it apparently is a practice that adolescent Ravens do in the fall. This was shot near Ravens Rock off of Route 29 near Lambertville NJ.
