The horizon is quite evident in this shot. Similar in makeup Chile has coastal mountains by the ocean and the Andes along the interior spine. This reminded me of Whistler and the Cascades of Washington state and their own relationship with their coastal mountains.

GOLDEN SUNSET ISLANDS PANO
Every Sunrise and every sunset is special and different. This soft sunset is reason enough to go on a cruise.
This Yacht was huge. A Cat in the 40 plus size maybe 50 feet was anchored off the beach at Maui. The shaft of light coming down at dusk told me I had to get this. The sand on this beach was dark brown.
Called LIGHTHOUSE REFLECTIONS this shot is similar to LIGHTHOUSE-POND but the sky had more pink in it and the ducks all moved to the right side of the lightbeam for me.
SCATTERED RAYS ON THE BAY
This lone surfer is contemplating his dive off the jetty near Diamond Head at sunset ( actually 2 minutes after). Most of the time they jumped in too quickly to setup as they were about 200-300 yards out. THis surfer paused long enough to let me capture this. They use the jetty to help them to get out past the breakers. This way they get more Runs ( I mean Rides) in to shore. This scene will always be one of my favorites as it is so surreal and the sky was AWESOME!

I call this one of my painted sunset shots. I was on the deck of a 50 foot Catamaran and the rock and roll was pretty evident. I bumped the ISO up enough to get the shot but it came out more like a painting. The colors were awesome!
MUTED SUNSET BEAUTY
This dock at Wakaki beach gave a nice angle to pull in this picture with the rock jetty in the background. The sky was the superstar in this shot as the sun just went down leaving the sky ablaze.

Called SWANS IN LOVE one of my favorites with Swans I caught these two appearing to kiss at DAWN with their necks and heads forming a HEART. That early sky isn't bad either.

This sky was ablaze of the coast of the big island as the sun was retreating for the day. Being on the ocean afforded the expansive view. The bonus here was that the opposite side of the sky had some of the nicest pinks & purple clouds that you could imagine.
Work Boats at Dawn! The Pink Sky was Awesome right before the Sun popped up along with the still waters and the rigging lights added to the beauty of these work boats at rest. This Marina is one of the must see spots in and around Cape May.

These mountains are huge, above treeline and the air pollution from Santiago in the valley down below gave us some of the most colorful sunsets that we could hope for.
10 Not all of the beautiful scenery is on the mountain. This was taken at DAWN just outside my room in BEND at the RIVER HOUSE Hotel. Check out the Pink Sky, the christmas tree, and the Raging River. BEND OREGON has lots to offer Unfortunately I had no free time to tour Bend with my camera. Guess I Have to go back!

The sight of this Sailboat under full sail leaving Honolulu for a sunset cruise is beauty to behold. The colors of the sails against the golden-yellow sky make this one of my favorites. To me it was the right place at the right time.
I called this ORANGE SKY & LIGHTHOUSE PANORAMIC. This sky was incredible. The light of the lighthouse came on as the sun set and the colors got more vibrant as time went on. Yes a tripod was required.
