I was very lucky to get these shots while visiting Vail January 2012. It Snowed twice during the week to bring out the beauty in these mountains. I was able to get a Panoramic of the Mountain Range in my Landscapes category under Panoramics CHECK it OUT!
VAIL ASPENS & MOUNTAINS. This shot is a wide angle of the scene across from the top of the Gondola building. Sparse snow this January gave more contrast with the branches of the Aspens & the Evergreens.
VIEWS from TWO ELK LODGE in Black & White...
Called a SKIERS VIEW in Black & White this gives you some perspective why Skiers smile so much!
FULL MOON MIST
VAIL ASPEN BEAUTY... This shot is one of my favorites. Shot near LOST BOY the view of the mountain range seen through the stand of Aspens is Beautiful!
Called VAIL PANORAMIC BEAUTY this shot shows an AWESOME Mountain range with the storm front that gave us another 6 inches of FRESH knocking on the door.
I called this (Beauty by Two Elk Lodge). This statue in Black & White which is backlit by the brilliant sunshine gives you a sense of how beautiful this mountain can be.
Called VAIL SCENES this shot is a telephoto shot near the top of the Gondola.
FIREWOOD a PLENTY is more that a stack of firewood to me. Between the snow covered rustic buildings the flocked evergreens and the mountain top views of clouds & sky this picture says WINTERTIME to me in a BIG WAY!
Simply called TREE & MOUNTAINS the dramatic texture of the weathered bark on this tree is complimented by the mountain range that jumps out at you from across the valley. One of many sights that only can be seen from the trails.
Called TWO ELK View in Black & White this portrait version of the ELK statue near TWO ELK Lodge shot from a very low angle with back lighting from the SUN.
Called TWO ELK VIEWS this is the scenery from the back door of TWO ELK Lodge.
Simply called (ASPEN Beauty) this stand of ASPENS with the afternoon sun directly behind them along with a jet plume and bright blue skies made this picture jump out at you.
FLOCKED TREES in BLACK & WHITE looked pretty dramatic in color but I shot in black and white. The dark blue sky almost looks other worldly with the filter and adjustments that I made in photoshop. Its always a good thing to experiment a little bit.
